Benefits to using a copywriter

It’s a big world out there and there are so many options about who your business could dedicate its time to (too many options in fact). It’s nearly impossible to have that big of a reach, unless you’re Amazon of course which makes perfect sense why JB is a stinkin billionaire! 😉 But starting off as a new business owner or even if you’ve been in the game for some time but wanting to make a bigger impact, you need to speak the language of your audience. That’s where a copywriter comes in! You may be thinking, “I don’t need a copyright and if I do, I’ll just go to my lawyer”, true true, but it’s important to know the difference between a copyright and a copywriter. Of course, one is a form of legal protection for creators BUT the other is just as important in a creators life, copywriters craft persuasive and engaging text (known as ‘copy’) to promote products, services, brands or ideas for businesses.

Often many business owners overlook the importance of really connecting with their ideal clientele and lose out on making a big impact within their business. It’s not as easy as throwing some words in ChatGPT and calling it a day, Oh noooo…It’s really so much more than that. Copywriting takes a large amount of legwork with research, comparing and studying about what makes people tick, what drives them, what gets them to say ‘YES’ to that product or service.

Persuasive writing moves people to action

Don’t be a stick in the mud

There are different ways to come to the realization that your business has had a ‘failure to launch…and remain soaring’ syndrome. Maybe you notice stagnant or declining sales for your business, retention and engagement with your audience is low and a weak brand voice/identity among other things. Experts at Copybloggers agree and emphasize that “copywriting is not just about writing for the sake of writing, but about creating content with a clear, strategic goal. Whether it’s driving conversions, increasing sign-ups, or promoting a product, skilled copywriters understand the power of persuasive writing to move people to action.”

Release the Reins

Your business is your baby, so much time and relentless effort has gone into it with a lot riding on its success or failure. When you look in all different directions there’s one thing to fix and address and then another but it’s fine because you’re doing what you LOVE to do, only thing is, as a business owner it forces you to be a jack of all trades, a business minded person, a financial guru, customer service extrovert, social media tycoon and a copywriting wiz! Whew!! That’s a lot to manage. It’s easy to feel the pull of wearing so many different hats it can become an increasingly stressful experience. Hmmm…I wonder what the solution to one of those problems can be…

To the Rescue!

In comes the copywriter! Imagine this, you’re in the business of…let’s just say the health and wellness niche 😉 you have an amazing product like a fitness journal and exercise programs that you’d like to have distributed to the masses or just to those that are interested in that sort of thing (again, speaking to your core audience is key). You’re initially worried about what you’re going to say to get these fitness lovers to LOVE your product but then you remember…”oh yeah, I hired the perfect copywriter to craft engaging and compelling word art to handle this side of things”, now thanks to your business savvy and ability to fantastically delegate, you have one less thing to worry about. Many business owners truly believe with all their heart that they can make up their own copy, and maybe so, but in the time it takes to properly do the research, understand key benefits and features, create strategies and articulate the findings effectively and efficiently…you could be focusing on creating quality photo content for the socials, making sure manufacturing is in perfect alignment, ensuring finances are on point, whatever IT is that you need to be focusing on as a business owner, well, now you can! On top of all that, in the long run, hiring a team, more specifically a copywriter will save you $$$. Hear me out, you know that old saying time is money, it’s so true because all the time it would take a business owner to do research and create copy, they could have been putting that time and energy someplace else that would have earned them more moolah! Not only that but if the wrong type of words are crafted, if you’re not speaking to your ideal audience base…again, no money is coming into your business.

What I’m trying to say is…

Ultimately what I’m trying to say is that starting a new business or working to keep your current business running and operating is a fun and exciting thing but we as business owners can tend to have the “squirrel!” effect where we’re working on one thing and then our attention quickly gets diverted to another thing and then another and then another until you’re completely overwhelmed with all the things. You want to focus on that product or service you’re trying to get out into the world, but then you have so many other very important and relevant to dos calling your name. How you set your business up in the marketing aspect is a huge game changer, you want people to know who you are and what your business is all about, you want to entice your audience to engage and ultimately invest in your offerings. When you’re running around trying hard to do it all, some things can fall by the waste side. This piece of the puzzle called copywriting can seem small and insignificant but it’s in fact quite the opposite, it could possibly be the thing to aid in really bringing about success to your business so that once it takes off, it really soars.
